Rejoice and give thanks to the Living God and our father Jesus the Lord... The ram’s horn, the Shofar, is a reminder of Abraham’s sacrifice of Isaac and GOD’s provision of a ram as a substitute. (Isaac: Who at Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) is the “Akedah” in the binding of Isaac story about sub-situnary sacrifice!) And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. (Revelation 1:10) John was taken up to Heaven in the Book of Revelation by the sound of the shofar. (Revelation 4:1) Seven (trumpets) shofars are sounded when God judges the earth during the tribulation. (Revelation 8-9) Seven Shofars were blown before the ark of God. (1 Chronicles 15:24, 2 Samuel 6:15)
